Losing your cat is one of the most painful experiences that you can have as a cat owner. We say this from purrsonal experience. It hurts. You look for them, you do everything that you can, but sometimes, it's simply not up to you. When your cat runs away, sometimes, it is up to them whether to come back from their adventure or not.

Now, we were one of the lucky ones. Our cat returned to us pretty fast. It took her 24 hours exactly to change her mind about the outside world and come back inside to be spoiled the way she likes. For this person, it took seven whole years. They were sure that they were never going to see their cat again. We probably would have been too, had seven years passed since it happened. But they found their cat again, and they found it in a completely different state, which led to an insane adventure - a mission to bring the cat home. And they managed. And the reunion between this cat and its human is going to be amazing.

What are the chances of something like this happening? Seven whole years have passed since the cat disappeared. If something like this happens to you, then it has to be fate, it has to be some greater power involving itself and telling you that you have to do absolutely everything to get your cat back.

We just love how everyone got involved in this situation - the parents with helping get the cat back, the internet with helping this person afford the trip. This is how things should be. People helping other people. It's good to see that there are some things in the world that still have the power of bringing us together, namely cats.
